Mali wanted to check out an arts festival in Sun Valley so we dutifully drove over to Ketchum. The festival was a bust but we enjoyed walking around Ketchum. Ketchum is one of the more normal ski resort towns. It has nice resorts and posh trendy boutique stores like Banff, Jackson, Aspen, and Mont Tremblant yet despite all the gay trappings it still feels like what it is: a small Idaho mountain town. This residual honesty may explain its popularity with the Ted-Ed talking head and fly-in billionaire class. When we drove by Hailey’s airport, (Sun Valley’s de-facto airport), it had more private jets on its runways than you typically see in Las Vegas or Los Angeles.
