When we moved to Ottawa we rented a two bedroom two story apartment in this building. It was a large apartment. If you added up all the floors it was probably bigger than some of the houses we have lived in. I haven’t found any pictures of this apartment. The place didn’t inspire me. The only thing of note that happened here is that I saw the first 2004 transit of Venus right where I am standing. I didn’t expect to see the transit. The transit was early in the morning and the Sun would be low on the horizon. Additionally, the area around this apartment is surrounded by high rise buildings. But, on the morning of the transit, as I was going to work, I saw the Sun, greatly diminished by the morning haze, just peeking through a crack in the buildings. I rushed inside, got my binoculars, and projected the transit on a white card. It was meant to be!
